Deep Fishing Launch Notes
What LazyGames shipped on 18 July 2026 — the loop, the shop, and the first badge set.
Deep Fishing went live on Roblox on 18 July 2026. LazyGames published a free incremental fishing game with online servers that hold up to twelve players. This page is the launch snapshot: the core loop, the first nine gamepasses, and the systems that still decide how you play. It is not a preview for an unreleased title. The pier is open.
Official listing: Deep Fishing. Studio card: LazyGames. Parent hub: updates. If you are brand new, skip from this snapshot into getting started and the controls guide so the first hour is a cast, a sell, and a Strength buy instead of a confused shop tour.
Core loop that shipped on day one
You hold the cast, release it, and send bait as far as Strength allows. One throw can return multiple fish. You sell the haul for coins. You spend those coins on Strength so the next throw lands farther out. Farther water is where rarer fish live. That sentence is the entire launch design. Everything else — luck passes, magnets, Auto Sell, mutations — is an optional modifier on that sentence.
The launch build does not ask you to craft a rod from a dozen materials. It does not ask you to clear a story dungeon. It asks you to learn the hold-release, to stop tapping, and to stop spending coins on cosmetics of power before you have meters of distance. How to cast farther is the skill page for that motion. The upgrade tier list is the shop page for the same idea.
Multi-fish casts matter immediately. Inventory fills fast. Selling is part of the loop, not a chore you postpone until a Secret appears. The coin guide exists because launch economy is bulk Commons funding Strength, with Legendary / Mythical / Secret sitting on top as headline ranks.
First gamepasses (the launch nine)
Launch shipped nine gamepasses. We list the names and the jobs. We do not invent Robux prices.
- Lucky, Super Lucky, Ultra Lucky — a luck ladder for rarer ranks after you already reach better water.
- VIP — a bundle. This wiki does not invent the extras inside it.
- More Mutations — leans on the mutation modifier, not a fifth rarity.
- Double XP — doubles the XP track. XP is not Strength.
- Double Coins — feeds the Strength loop.
- Fish Magnet — volume and pickups, especially on busy twelve-player servers.
- Auto Sell — sells for you when volume is the bottleneck, dangerous during first-catch badge hunts.
Full ranking, split for free-to-play players versus spenders, lives on the gamepass tier list. Launch-day advice that has not expired: Strength still first. Luck in near water is a more expensive Common farm. Auto Sell is a time saver, not a damage stat.
Rarity and badges at launch
Launch rarity is a ladder, not a bestiary. Common fish (everything below the named ranks) pay the bills. Legendary, Mythical, and Secret are the named ranks, in that order. Mutations modify a catch. The fish rarity list is the ranking page. The badges page is the trophy page. First Legendary, First Mythical, First Secret (rare), and First Mutation shipped as first-catch trophies. Welcome shipped as the join trophy. Catch-count trophies shipped at 50, 250, 1,000, 10K, 50K, 100K, 250K, and 500K.
We do not invent a launch species list to sit under those ranks. If the live game shows a name on a fish, that name is in the live game. This snapshot only guarantees the ranks and the badges.
What launch did not include
Launch did not include a confirmed public code list. As of September 2026 that was still true. Do not wait on a string to start the loop. Like, favorite, and join LazyGames for the listed group rewards, and keep the codes hub bookmarked. Launch also did not include local-only play. Servers are online. Twelve players is the cap.
Launch did not include a requirement to buy a pass. Free-to-play is the default. The cast planner is a text spend-order for people who want a checklist anyway.
How to play the launch build in 2026
- Join the official page. Claim group gifts.
- Hold and release. Do not tap.
- Sell Commons. Buy Strength.
- Keep the first Legendary, Mythical, Secret, and Mutation for badges.
- Push farther water. Then think about luck.
- Add Fish Magnet or Auto Sell when volume, not distance, is the pain.
- Hunt Secret and mutations with how to catch rare fish and how to get mutations.
That order is the launch notes turned into a session. Later patches will get their own pages on the updates hub if they change the shop or the badge set. Until then, 18 July 2026 is still the ruleset: hold, release, sell, Strength, farther, rarer.
If you are writing a recap for friends, the one-sentence version is enough. LazyGames shipped a twelve-player incremental fishing game on Roblox. Distance is the skill and the spend. The nine passes are optional. Secret is rare. Mutations are modifiers. There is no confirmed code to skip the first hour. Go to the pier.
